Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Smart Regex Auto-Detect Delimiter work?
Our Smart Regex engine scans your pasted text structure in real time. It checks for line breaks, tab stops from Excel or Google Sheets, semicolons, pipes, commas, or multi-space patterns, and automatically splits your items without manual configuration.
How can I format a spreadsheet column for an SQL IN() query?
Paste your column of IDs or strings into the input box, set Output Delimiter to Comma with Space, select Single Quotes under Item Wrapper, and choose SQL IN Clause under Overall List Enclosure. Your data will instantly wrap into ('item1', 'item2') format.
Can I remove duplicate values while keeping my original list order?
Yes. When you check the Remove Duplicates option and leave Alphabetical Sort on Original Order, the utility preserves the first occurrence of every unique entry and strips out subsequent duplicates either case-sensitively or case-insensitively.
How do I convert a comma-separated string back into a vertical column?
Click the Reverse to Column button directly below the settings panel. It takes your separated string, strips surrounding quotes or brackets if needed, and transforms every delimited value back into a clean newline-separated vertical list.
Is my data private and processed locally in the browser?
Absolutely. All text splitting, deduplication, sorting, and file exports run 100% locally inside your browser using Vanilla JavaScript and Blob URLs. No sensitive lists, emails, or database records are ever uploaded to an external server.
What format is used when downloading the converted list?
Clicking Download File generates a clean UTF-8 plain text file using a client-side Blob object and saves it directly to your device with the standardized filename ending in delimited-text-sagarxtool.txt.
